Description

The Department of Commerce/National Institute of Standards and Technology intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with ESI North America, Inc., 36800 Woodward Avenue, Suite 200, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304, to provide software maintenance for the following software products: Multiphysics, ACE-CS-02, Electric Module add-on, ACE-S-05, and Stress add-on for a single CPU, ACE-S06. ESI Group is the copyright holder and sole source provider for maintenance and support of ESI-CFD Scientific software applications. A firm-fixed-price purchase order will be issued on or about November 17, 2008, and the period of performance shall be 11/30/2008 through 11/29/2009. The Government intends to solicit only this one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b).Interested concerns may identify their capabilities by submitting a capability statement that demonstrates in written narrative format their ability to meet the requirement and objectives as described in this synopsis. Capability statements may be e-mailed to maria.gray@nist.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for quotation. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
