- Description
- The work includes but is not limited to removal of all debris, damaged, and inadequate materials from the building, forebay, trashracks and sumps. Undamaged items such as the roof, gutters, roll up doors, and steel structure shall remain in place. All necessary components to repair the existing pump station building to provide a weather-tight and structurally sound metal building in order to restore the building back to its pre-flood condition. Including but not limited to the following: siding, windows, personnel doors, insulation, office, restroom, and downspouts Re-install three existing diesel fuel engines. Replace cooling system piping from their building entrance to the three engines, two air compressors with their associated after coolers, a domestic shallow well pump and piping to the restroom, new return and say fuel tanks and two oil fired unit heaters. The fuel oil system to include the day and return oil tanks and the piping shall be clean, flushed, re-installed (if necessary). The compressed air piping shall be clean, flushed, re-installed (if necessary). The three right angle gear drive units and the vertical propeller pumps shall be pulled, taken to a manufacturer approved facility, inspected, cleaned, flushed, lubricated, and re-installed. Any additional repairs to the pumps or gear drives shall be noted during the inspection and reported back to the Contracting Officer. The two main Diesel fuel tanks shall be refilled with 10,000 gallons of No.2 fuel oil between the two of them and the trash racks should be cleaned and inspected. Remove all receptacles, toggle switches, storage addition lights, air compressor controllers and disconnects, heater controls and thermostats, louver and exhaust fan control, ceiling fan control, service entrance panelboard MP, service entrance conductors, telephone wiring and boxes, and all romexs. Coordinate with the telephone company to install new phone service. Coordinate with the utility company to check meter pedestal and replace as required. Clean, check, re-lamp as required, re-ballast as required, and replace as necessary all existing overhead bay lights, emergency lights, and ceiling fans. Clean all existing conduit and electrical boxes. Replace with new all outside lights, storage addition lights, air compressor controllers, heater controls and thermostats, louver and exhaust fan controls, all receptacles and toggle switches, and ceiling fan control. Add new lights and receptacles to new office and toilet. Install all new building wiring and service entrance wiring from meter pedestal to service entrance panelboard MP. Install new panelboard MP. This work is to provide grating over the existing pipes and to provide two connecting walkways to the existing walkway. Concrete removal, placing concrete, installing steel support and angles, repair of the steel frame of the building as required, drainage basins, fabricate grating, and railing supports, and construct wood walkway. The estimated order of magnitude for this solicitation is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A PREBID MEETING WILL BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 5TH, 2008 AT 10:00 AM. THE PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE HUNT DRAINGE DISTRICT PUMP STATION TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR CONTRACTORS TO VISIT THE SITE. OFFERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THIS PREBID MEETING.
