- PURCHASE OF ONE (1) EACH NEW HEAVY DUTY PROGRAMMABLE HORIZONTAL EXTERNAL CYLINDRICAL GRINDING MACHINE IN ACCORDANCE WITH WATERVLIET ARSENAL EQUIPMENT ENGINEERING SPECIFICATION #28-09-3415. CENTER TO CENTER CONTINUOUS GRINDING CAPABILITY OF 24 FEET WITH MINIMUM WHEELHEAD CROSS-SLIDE TRAVEL OF 18 INCHES. ONE YEAR WARRANTY AFTER GOVERNMENT ACCEPTANCE REQUIRED. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO AWARD A FIRM FIXED-PRICE CONTRACT. POC: P. HASCHYTZ - CONTRACT SPECIALIST (518)266-3933, J. PALMER - CONTRACTING OFFICER (518)266-5618. ESTIMATED DATE OF SOLICITATION: 10 NOVEMBER 2008. This solicitation will be issued electronically, therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Upon release of the solicitation, it will be available on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) at https://acquisition.army.mil and will be listed under Watervliet Arsenal. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of offers may render your offer nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
