Description
It is the intent of the Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC) Ship Support Unit (SSU) San Diego to make a sole source procurement of shipboard repairs from NC Power Systems Company, the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Field service includes #1 SSDG Fuel-Oil Injector replacement and #2 SSDG Inframe Overhaul for T-AOE class ship. The period of performance is 18 November through 08 December 2008. This requirement is solicited as sole source RFQ under NAICS Code 336611 with a size standard of 1000 employees. The estimated issue date of the solicitation is 29 October 2008 with a closing date of 3 November 2008 at 1:00 PM Pacific Time. This requirement will be procured under FAR Part 12. The requirement will be negotiated on other than full and open competition basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1) with NC Power Systems Company as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for services/parts for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit offers. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers. However, all offers received within the response date will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Once solicitation is posted, it can be viewed in the Contracts section of the MSC website. Instructions for downloading solicitation from MSC website is as follows: type in your browser http://www.msc.navy.mil. Click on Contracts tab located at the upper right hand corner of screen. Select Request for (Request for Proposal/Quotation (RFP/RFQ)-current solicitations. Scroll down to MSC Pacific (San Diego, CA) and click to highlight the selection. Scroll down and hit the Search button at the bottom of the page. Look for the solicitation number, click on RFQ/RFP number and follow downloading instruction for solicitation.
