- The Government is performing market research on potential sources for the following aerospace training system requirements. This notification is for market research purposes to identify potential contractors who have the skills, experience, and knowledge required to successfully complete this effort for Hill Air Force Base, Utah and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be accomplished. This is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid. To be considered as a potential source for this requirement, a Contractor will be required to submit technical data, in response to a solicitation, verifying their capabilities to manufacture these items. The Contractor will be required to verify capabilities to manage component inventories, develop manufacturing testing, and manufacture and test aerospace ready-for-use subassemblies with existing quality processes suitable for military or aerospace applications. The legacy item is Oxygen Regulation Manifold, NSN: 6930-00-627-8654, P/N: 56D64247. Government owned technical data, being procured for the first time, will be provided and the first articles must be Contractor qualified through actual environmental and system tests or qualified through similarity. Redesign of the item, within the provided specifications, is encouraged to make the item more manufacturable and serviceable. Critique and feedback on the listed specifications, concerning difficult to meet specifications or omitted specifications, is encouraged as a response in this market research. Order volumes will be approximately 2 sub-assemblies per procurement. Request information on difficulties and omissions of listed specifications of the product. Request information such as rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost on non-recurring engineering charges and product cost. Request information on advantages of design for manufacturing and repair. Request information on intentions of providing drawings suitable for future Government procurements from third parties. Respondents to this request will be retained in a file and subsequently notified when Request for Proposal/Quote (RFP/Q) is posted in Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps). Responding to this request in no manner guarantees a contract will be awarded to the respondent for the potential sources market research.
