- The NIAID intramural program has twenty laboratories and research units, located in Bethesda and Rockville, Maryland; and Hamilton, Montana, containing over 110 independent basic and clinical researchers working to exploit fundamental knowledge of infectious agents and the immune system toward improved health for our nation and the world. The Research Technologies Branch was formed within the Division of Intramural Research (DIR) to provide state-of-the-art research services and technologies. The NIAID RTB and Acquisitions Management and Operations Branch (AMOB) has a requirement to provide specific knockout or knockin (KO/KI) mice based on up to 25 constructs provided by DIR investigators. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price IDIQ contract will be awarded for one year with four one-year options. This is not a Request for Proposals. The intention of this announcement is to notify potential offerors that the Request for Proposals will be available for download on or about November 12, 2007 from www.fedbizopps.gov. This notice does not commit the Government to award a contract. No hard copies will be distributed. All questions must be submitted in writing to Alexander Kramer (kramera@niaid.nih.gov).
