Description
This synopsis supersedes the synopsis posted under solicitation number HSCEMS-08-R-00004 on April 14, 2008. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of Detention and Removal Operations (DRO) has a requirement for facility maintenance services, including janitorial service, facility preventative maintenance and repair, landscaping and ground maintenance, trash removal, disposal service, on-call emergency repairs, pest control, and HVAC maintenance services at the Batavia Service Processing Center (SPC) located in Batavia, New York. The NAICS code for this requirement is 561210 ($32.5M). The projected date for issuance of the solicitation is on or about November 12, 2008. The Solicitation will be available on the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) site only. ICE intends to procure on an 8(a) competitive basis. The government anticipates a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Materials (T&M) contract for a period of performance of one base year and four one-year options. The anticipate award date is February 12, 2009. All questions concerning this solicitation must be directed in writing via email to david.m.murphy@dhs.gov. No questions or inquiries will be accepted by telephone. The distribution of the resulting solicitation will be accomplished solely through the FedBizOpps website. Hard copies of the solicitation documents will not be available; therefore, no written, telephone, or facsimile requests for the documents will be accepted. The FedBizOpps site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including the solicitation and any amendments, will be distributed solely through the FedBizOpps site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps site to assure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The government anticipates conducting a site visit to provide potential offerors an opportunity to tour the facility. It is anticipated that the site visit will take place approximately one week after the RFP is released.
