- Description
- NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) intends to issue a Request for Proposals(RFP) for Flight Unit Medium Sun Sensors for the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM)Project. The scope of work for this procurement entails the Contractor providing thefacilities, personnel, services, tools, equipment, and materials to deliver the MediumSun Sensors in accordance with the Statement of Work, Specification, and DeliverableItems List and Schedule. These items will be provided with issuance of the RFP. This procurement will be competed as a total small business set-aside exclusively for8(a) companies under the Section 8(a) Program. NASA/GSFC anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price type contract for this effort with ananticipated award date on or about January 2009. The Government does not intend to acquire commercial items using FAR Part 12. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is541712 with a corresponding size standard in number of employees of 1,000.The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about October 31, 2008, with ananticipated offer closing date on or about December 1, 2008. The actual due date forreceipt of offers will be stated in the prospective RFP. Upon issuance of the RFP, allqualified responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by thisagency.
