- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office, intends to contract with the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, Alexandria, VA, for meeting spaces, T-1 Internet lines, Audio Visual equipment and technicians, and parking for the 2009 US Navy Office of the General Counsel (OGC) Annual Seminar. This annual seminar is designed to provide necessary training as well as to address current legal issues facing the OGC community. In addition to training, the seminar provides a forum for the US Navy Office of the General Counsel community to interact and establish lines of communication essential to the OGC mission. The Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, Alexandria, VA is in proximity to a major airport, public transportation, local restaurants, and can provide ample parking and lodging for seminar attendees. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, Alexandria, VA for this requirement of meeting spaces, T-1 Internet lines, and Audio Visual equipment. The Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, Alexandria, VA, is considered the only source capable of providing the necessary services which meet the requirements of the US Navy Office of the General Counsel. The Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, Alexandria, VA is the only hotel and convention center located within the required venue location which is large enough to accommodate the large number of seminar participants, will accept government per diem, does not require a food and beverage purchase, and was not previously booked. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received within ten (10) days after the date of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will be considered solely for the purposed of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received.
