Description
This amendment to the combined synopsis/solicitation PC-08-Q-026 serves to add the schedule of the contract, update the closing date of the synopsis/soliciation, and delete and replace section C.2 (Specifications) in its entirety from the original listing to the following: C.2. SPECIFICATIONS Medical Kits Purpose: To supply volunteers with the common medical supplies they need while out in the field. The box containing the medical supplies shall be 11”x13”x4”, durable, weigh no more than 5lbs, have an easy to open and close locking mechanism, and shall last at least 2 years. The Peace Corps currently uses a hard plastic box of the same specifications with a snap locking mechanism. All of the contents in the medical kit shall have an expiration date of at least 2 years after issuance of the medical kit. Peace Corps would also like to receive press shipments when necessary. Medications • Acetaminophen tablets 325 mg, 50ea – 25 pks • Bismuth Subsalicylate tablets, - 48 ea • Bacitracin-Polymixin B ointment, 15 gm tube – 1box • Cetylpyridium throat lozenges, 2ea– 9 pks • Chlorhexidine detergent, 120 ml – 1ea • Clotrimazole cream 1%, 15 gm tube – 1 ea • Dextromethorphan throat lozenges, 18s – 9 ea • Antacid tablets (e.g., Tums, Mylanta, Di-Gel), 30 ea – 15 pks • Diphenhydramine capsules 25 mg, – 30 ea • Hydrocortisone cream 1%, 30 gm tube – 1 box • Ibuprofen 400 mg, 40ea – 20 pks • Iodine water purification tablets, 50ea – 1 box • Oral rehydration salts (ORS), 10 packets • Phenylephrine HCl tablets, 10 mg, 24ea – 12 pks • Normal Saline Eye Drops (5, 10 or 20 cc bottle) – 1 ea • Imodium, 2mg, - 12 ea • Caladril Cream, 1 tube Health Supplies • Adhesive tape (1” X 10 yards)- 1 ea • Band-Aids (assorted sizes) – 45bag – 1 bag • Butterfly skin closures, 20s – 1 bag • Condoms, lubricated, without Nonoxynol-9, – 10 ea • Dental floss, unwaxed (100 yds) – 1 ea • Elastic bandage (3” X 5 yards) – 1 ea • Gauze pads, sterile, (3” X 3”), – 10 ea • Gloves, non-sterile, Latex – 2 pr • Insect repellent, 30-35% DEET, item not considered a HAZMAT by international shipping standards, e.g., Ultrathon – 1 ea • Lib balm with sunscreen, SPF 15 – 1 ea • First Aid Pocket Guide – 1 ea • Safety Whistle, < 120 decibels – 1 ea • Scissors, surgical, straight, double-blunt, 5.5” – 1ea • Sunscreen cream, SPF 30, 105 ml – 1 ea • Tweezers, splinter, 3.5” – 1 ea • Digital Thermometer – 10 ea
