- NOTICE OF SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY WA FS ERFO 2007(1)-20(18) and WA FS ERFO 2008(1)-20(1), Mallardy Creek Bridge Emergency Repairs and Hard Creek Bridge Emergency Repairs, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Skagit County and Snohomish County, Washington. The Mallardy Creek Bridge work site is located on Forest Road 4032 near the Mountain Loop Highway approximately 20 miles east of Granite Falls in Snohomish County, and the Hard Creek Bridge work site is located on Forest Road 15 (Cascade River Road), approximately 60 miles east of Arlington in Skagit County. This project will be solicited to the WA “Area 4” 8(a) MATOC Contractors. Information on the IDIQ contractors may be found on our website at http://www.wfl.fhwa.dot.gov/edi/idiq/wa_area_4.htm This project consists of embankment, grading, bridge deck, bridge rail, abutment repair, and paving. Project magnitude is under $500,000.00. Solicitation documents will be available on FedBizOpps in early 2009, with an anticipated fixed completion date of October 2009. SOLICITATION OF THIS PROJECT AND WA FS ERFO 2007(1)-20(14) GLACIER AREA ROADS EMERGENCY REPAIRS, SOLICITATION NO. DTFH70-09-R-00003, WILL BE SEPARATED BY A MINIMUM THREE (3) WEEK PERIOD. The project may be viewed at any time prior to blockage of access due to fall weather conditions. Check with Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest for weather conditions and passability of roads accessing these sites, at (800) 627-0062. In a typical year, the last date access is possible to the Mallardy Creek Bridge is around November 1st, and the Hard Creek Bridge around November 15th. PRELIMINARY PLANS with additional project information are in electronic format only and are posted with this synopsis. Registering at ADD TO WATCHLIST box insures notification when solicitation documents are posted.
