- United States Government SeeksExpressions of Interest for Lease of Parking Spaces in Atlanta, Georgia The United States Government (The Department of Veterans Affairs - VA) is seeking to lease a total of approximately 150 surface parking spaces on the Eastern side of Atlanta, along Loop 285. The spaces will be used as a commuter hub for employees and veterans traveling to and from the Atlanta VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Decatur. The requirement is for a minimum of 100 spaces to a maximum of 150 spaces from 6:00 am 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at any location within the delineated area specified below. The lease term shall be for a firm term of five (5) years, with five (5) one-year options. The surface parking spaces provided must be in a safe, secure location, with convenient access to the intersection listed below, and within the delineated area. The proposed location must be properly zoned to allow for commuter/commercial parking. The VAMC will arrange for a commuter bus to shuttle to and from the commuter locations and the Medical Center. The parking offered does not have to be designated garage space and any reasonable surface parking situation that meets the size and location requirements will be considered. Delineated Area: At the intersection of Loop 285 & State Route 78 on the Eastern perimeter of Atlanta: for properties on the West side of Loop 285, they must be within a 2-mile radius of the intersection; for properties on the East side of Loop 285, they must be within a 5-mile radius of the intersection. Expressions of Interest Should Include: 1. Site plan of the parking location and its address. 2. Total number of surface parking spaces being offered. 3. Annual rate per space. Note: The government will pay no more than the appraised fair market rental value for parking spaces. Respondents are advised that VA assumes no responsibility to award a lease based upon responses to this advertisement.
