Description
In accordance with 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(2) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source,” the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source modification to McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO, to modify IDIQ contract N00019-08-D0013 to increase the maximum number of orders the Government is able to issue from seven (7) to 14. This IDIQ contract was competitively awarded to The Boeing Company 2 June 2008 in response to the full and open solicitation N00019-07-R-0051. The contract enables the Government to issue firm fixed price task orders to the contractor for the provision of either land or ship-based Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) services. The contract period of performance for which this modification will be applicable ends 1 June 2009. As the sole awardee on this IDIQ contract, The Boeing Company is currently providing UAS ISR services for the maximum number of task orders. In order to meet increased Government demand for UAS ISR services, NAVAIR intends to increase the maximum task order issuance to 14 orders. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.) GENERAL INFORMATION: The Boeing Company is the only known source available with the requisite equipment, personnel, and technical knowledge to satisfy the Government's requirement within the required timeline. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a delivery order for the efforts mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. Numbered note 22 applies.
