- Description
- 1.The Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center has a requirement for Technical Support Services in the Engineering Services Division. This is an 8(a) small business set-aside competition Synopsis for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in conjunction with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The Government is contemplating issuing an Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity Contract with Firm-Fixed Price Labor Rates. These services include but are not limited to: Senior Materials Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, Senior Reliability Analyst, System Analyst, System Analyst and two (2) RCM Logistics Analyst located in the Aging Aircraft Cell; Two (2) Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) Programmers are located in the Industrial Operations Division (IOD); Six (6) Tech Data Specialists One (1) Tech Data Specialist/QA, Three (3) Tech Data Specialist, and Two (2) Tech Data Specialist I) located in the Graphics Section of the Technical Publications Cell and Two (2) Tech Data Specialist (One (1) Tech Data Specialist and One (1) Tech Data specialist I) located in the CASA HC-144A Product Line; One (1) Tempest Technician located in the Engineering Support Cell. The contract is anticipated to commence 01 January 2009 with a 3 -year period of performance consisting of a basic year and two 2-year option periods. The rough order of magnitude for the technical effort is 32,640 hours for the base year and each option year. This is based on the independent government estimate and does not include training and travel. Award will be made using best value source selection procedures.
