- Description
- The US Army, ACC Joint Munitions and Lethality Contracting Center, Maneuver Ammunition Center on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager forManeuver Ammunition Systems (OPM-MAS) intends to negotiate under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, sole source requirement for the design, development and manufacture of one (1) explosive proof Ultrasonic M430 Grenade Tooling Set to be integrated with the existing ultrasonic press analyzer located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. This will be a firm fixed price requirement. The contractor shall perform modeling and simulation to determine the optimum locations for the ultrasonic sensors that will produce the highest quality signal and withstand the forces during the pressing operation. The tooling shall be machined in accordance with drawing provided by the US Army and the contractor will modify the drawings with the results from the ultrasonic modeling and simulation and then produce the tooling. The Government intends to award this contract sole source to Applied Sonics, Inc., Littleton, CO.
