- The VA Network 22 Logistics Office, Long Beach, California intends to negotiate a commercial FAR (Part 12) Sole source procurement with B. Braun Medical Inc. located at 824 12th Ave, Bethlehem, PA 18018-3524. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This BOS announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. Request for Quotation is RFQ VA-262-09-RQ-0001JM. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the small business size standard is considered 6.5M. The Contractor shall provide annual preventive maintenance plus all parts, labor, travel to maintain the dialysis machines to manufacturer specifications. On-site response time 24 hours. B. Braun Medical Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for this equipment. Hardware and software are proprietary. Service shall be provided to the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System located at 11301 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90073. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government shall consider all proposals received by 1:00 PM Pacific Standard Time October 3, 2008. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries shall be accepted.
