- This Sources Sought/Market Survey is issued to identify potential small bondable and experienced businesses such as Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Businesses (VOSB) 8(a) contractors, HUBZone Small Businesses, Women Owned small businesses (WOBS), or Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB) that are capable of meeting the need for Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM), Washington, DC relative to the construction of a new 24,000 square feet Surgical Suite addition to the existing hospital and renovation of approximately 18,000 square feet for surgical support functions at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Memorial Hospital, 800 Hospital Drive, Columbia, Missouri 65201-5297. The estimated cost for this project is between $20,000,000.00 and $50,000,000.00. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million. The award of a Firm Fixed-Price construction contract is anticipated. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, transportation, supervision, supplies, and tools necessary for the construction of the Surgical Suite addition to the existing hospital and renovation of the surgical support functions. Interested bondable small businesses having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this sources sought/market survey. Responses must include the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address; (2) Business size determination and qualifying small business status, (3) Bonding capacity; (4) Construction experience of similar projects in size and scope; and (5) Sources Sought announcement number and specific project location. E-mail your responses to the Contracting Officer Frank A. Clemons, at frank.clemons@va.gov no later than 1:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2008. Please note that this is not a request for proposal and the government is only seeking information for market research/survey purposes. The government may or may not issue solicitation documents.
