- Description
- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center - Fort Bragg located at Fort Bragg, NC intends to release a solicitation to refurbish one E-One Cyclone II Truck and one E-One Titan 4x4 ARFF Fire Truck located on Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials to extend the useful life of the units for an additional ten years by upgrading the fire suppression capabilities and correct numerous deficiencies that have developed through routine use over the years. The requirement consists of pick-up and delivery of the unit, replace existing engine with a remanufactured engine, replace water level gauge, inspect the Hale 1250 GPM fire pump, foam system and apparatus electrical system, refurbish cab interior, etc. This action will be conducted as a commercial service acquisition in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5. The Government intends to solicit this acquisition as a full and open competition. The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. This requirement will have a period of performance of 210 days after award. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. The Government anticipates issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ), W91247-08-T-0404 on or around 22 September 2008 with a closing date of 25 September 2008. The RFQ and amendments will be available for downloading at the Army Single Face to Industry website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package and any amendments. All Offerors must be registered with the Central Contractors Registry (CCR) per FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration.
