- The Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) and the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Edgewood Contracting Division (ECD) are hosting an Advanced Planning Briefing to Industry for interested parties to be held on the following date: Date: 9 October 2008 Time: 0900-1600 hours EST Place: Edgewood Conference Center, Bldg. E4810 Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21010 At this briefing, the Government will describe the current and future challenges and requirements of ECBC and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) customers, as well as other Aberdeen Proving Ground tenants. The goal of ECBC and the U.S. Army RDECOM ECD is to create quality multiple award task order contracts to meet the needs of ECBC and CBRNE defense customers. The scope of work may include the following areas of need: Scientific Research & Development Life Cycle Systems Engineering Product Integration Product Assessment Quality Assurance Product Engineering Acquisition Logistics Support Safety, Security, Surety & Environmental Support Training Software Support Management Studies & Support Surety & Personnel Reliability Program Support Small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned small business concerns, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) participation is encouraged. This forum will also provide attendees the opportunity to sign up for one-on-one sessions with the Government to further discuss individual questions and comments. These one-on-one sessions are tentatively scheduled for the week of 20 October 2008 and each session will be no longer than one hour in duration. The Government requests interested parties to submit a capabilities statement no later than 1600 hours EST on 16 October 2008. These statements should be no longer than ten (10) pages in length and can be sent electronically to Jennifer Zeman, U.S. Army RDECOM ECD, at Jennifer.zeman1@us.army.mil. Visitors entering Aberdeen Proving Ground who do not possess a valid Government Civilian or Military ID card must present identification in the form of a valid drivers license, car registration, proof of insurance, and/or car rental agreement.
