- The following questions came up and the answers are below: 1) Our company is registered in the CCR as a small business but we have more than 100 employees. Can you amend the size standard for this requirement to less than 500 employees so we may offer a quote? - The SBA website indicates 100 employees for NAICS Code 423490. This is their requirement for employees based on the NAICS code specified. Please contact them for assistance regarding size standard inquiries at their Baltimore, MD district office at (410) 962-6195. 2) Our initial review of the attached lists show that they are the same lists as previously requested to support the Battlefield Airman Management. They just list different items and quantities going to different destinations, is this correct? - I believe this is the same list that was presented for quotation and possible inclusion into the BAMS system. That system is not available to us yet for these requirements. However, FY08 funding is available and the supplies and equipment are needed now. 3) Did you wish to receive the quote priced out in kits to each destination or do you want individual unit pricing for each line item to each delivery location? - Quotes should include price per unit of issue for each item, total price for each item per delivery location and an overall total for delivery location. 4) Will the award be an all or nothing status? We carry 95% of the items, but on the others, if I do a "no bid", will that eliminate us from being awarded? -- 100% fulfillment of the requirements is desired. We are antipating receiving a quote that has all the items we require. 5) Some of the items reference a specific company or brand name. Can I offer an equal substitute or does it have to be the brand mentioned? -- Depends on the item. For the most part, equal substitutes are acceptable. The exceptions are the Sexual Assault Kits (C2), Gunshot Residue Kits (C4), and any other specialized crime scene equipment that if substituted may not be acceptable as evidence in a court of law. 6) Will each Collection kit (A, B, C etc) need to be in a separate box or kit container, or are these items to replace components of a current kit you have? If each kit does need to be in a separate container, not every location is ordering every item so will I need to set up different item number depending on the location? -- Region 1 locations are not requesting kit containers except for the Fuming Kit. Region 4 locations are requesting containers, but cannot provide container sizing or material requirements. It is acceptable if the vendor just separates/packs the sub-kit items in a shipping box. 7) Can I submit my bid via fax or email? -- Pursuant to the original posting, offers may be sent via mail, or e-mailed to andrew.nordin@afncr.af.mil. Please call to confirm receipt of offer. 8) Regarding ID #P1, Drug Field Test Kit, it says that this item is still being researched. We manufacture our own brand of field test kits, called QuickCheck. Can I send samples for them to test and research? - Do not quote this item. The government will entertain products for evaluation consideration in future requirements.
