Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSAL. This is a notice of intent to issue an order to Nextel Communications of the Mid-Atlantic, Inc., P O Management, 10002 Park Meadows Drive, Lone Tree, CO 80124-5453, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for renewal of an existing Nextel Blackberry Systems and Cell Phones lease agreement that will expire on 11 Oct 2008. The Nextel systems are required to provide the Defense Media Center Engineering with the capability to monitor and filter network incoming and outgoing traffic on Engineering Broadcast Communications Systems network. This announcement constitutes the only notice, a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by the closing date specified in this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
