Description
Point of Contact: Sue Valenzuela, Purchasing Agent, Phone 206-764-6691, Fax 206-764-6817 or email susan.m.valenzuela@usace.army.mil The incoming power to Mud Mountaqin Dam has been a source of copper for thieves and vandals. The purpose of this Statement of Work is to identify and necessary items to make it more difficult for the ground wires to be stolen. The Contractor shall provide all plant, materials, labor and equipment necessary for the installation of: 41 8ft copper clad grounding rods. One per power pole buried one foot below grade. 45FT #6 solid bare copper conductor per power pole from neutral wire to grounding rod. Completely replace grounding conductor on each power pole. 2- ft of galvanized rigid steel conduit per power pole to encase ground conductor. insulated grounding bushings (malleable iron/zinc plated). Grounding bushing to be installed on each end of conduit and connect grounding conductor to lug to make conduit and conductor the same potential. 41 grounding rod clamps for grounding rod (direct burial suitable). 41 sacks of concrete. One sack per power pole. Conduit will be buried one foot in the ground anchored with concrete. 164 pipe straps and pipe spacers to secure conduit to power pole. Four sets per power pole. Secured with 4 or longer galvanized screws. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with this Sttement of Work, and all-applicable Federal, State, and local codes and regulations.
