Description This is a request for a quote for commercial items, prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12 and in conjunction with FAR Part 13. THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The items will be purchased on a brand name or equal basis in strict accordance with the attached salient characteristics. Contractors are given the opportunity to offer products other than those specifically referenced in this RFQ, as long as those products meet the attached salient physical, functional and other characteristics described. Purchasing any software or hardware that does not meet the attached salient characteristics will not satisfy the requirements of this procurement. Please reference FAR 52.211-6(b) when quoting an equal product for the necessary information that must be contained in any Quotes in response to this RFQ. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is 08EN220-166-0003. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 423430 with a small business size standard of 100 employees. The Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition and Procurement Office, Department of Defense, 1155 Defense Pentagon, Washington DC 20301-1155 intends to purchase the following items on a brand name or equal basis: Apple MacBook Pro 17” Laptop Qty 11 Apple Cinema HD Display 23” flat panel-M Qty 11 See attached documents for salient characteristics. Provide quotes and proposed product information in the same format seen in the attached documents. Insert characteristics and make/model information on the attached spreadsheet.
