Description
The VISN 19 Rocky Mountain Network Contracting Center intends to negotiate sole source with Cardiovascular systems Inc., 651 Campus Drive, St. Paul, MN 55112, to provide Orbital Atherectomy Diamondback 260 Catheters System to the Eastern Colorado Health Care System, 1055 Clermont Street, Denver, CO 80220. The Orbital Atherectomy Diamondback 360 System is used to ablate heavily calcified plaque in the peripheral blood vessels and because of the larger caliber vessels in the periphery, is a unique system designed to meet this need. The system provides for removal of plaque while minimizing the potential for stress of injury to the media layer, and reducing the risk of barotraumas. Through use of centrifugal force the system minimizes procedure time and expense of catheter upsizing. The procurement will consist of the (1) 1.25mm Classic Crown, (2 ea); (2) 1.50mm Solid Crown, (2 ea); (3) 1.75 Solid Crown, (2 ea); (4) 2.00mm Solid Crown, (2 ea); (5) 2.25mm Solid Crown, (2 ea); (6) OAD Controller, (1 ea); (7) Replacement tubing pack, (1 pk); (8) Fire wire 5//bx; (1 bx); and (9) Flexible Wire 5/bx, (1 bx). The Orbital Atherectomy System is very distinct from other systems in that this system allows treatment for the entire range of plaque in the peripheral vasculature. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by providing a capability statement and qualification which must contain specific information on supplying this type of equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within 5 calendar days after the date of submission of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
