Description
SOURCES SOUGHT This Sources Sought is being issued for planning purposes only and it is not a solicitation or presolicitation. Responses to this notice are not considered as offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The 437th Contracting Squadron at Charleston AFB, SC is seeking contractors who are capable of providing Fire Protection and Suppression Systems Preventive Maintenance and Repair for Charleston AFB, South Carolina and Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, South Carolina: This service covers approximately 167 buildings for Charleston AFB, SC and approximately 226 buildings for Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, South Carolina. The performance time is five years (one base year and four option years). The service required will consist of inspections, tests, preventive maintenance and repair of industrial fire protection equipment in all facilities on both Charleston AFB and Naval Weapons Station, SC and the fire suppression systems in all facilities except aircraft hangers on Charleston AFB, SC. All labor, vehicles, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other furnished property and services except as specified in the contract as Government Furnished Property will be provided by the contractor. A firm fixed price indefinite delivery contract is contemplated. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), HUBZone, and 8(a) firms are sought. Interested SDVOSB, HUBZone, and 8(a) concerns should indicate interest to the Contracting Officer, in writing as early as possible, but no later than FRIDAY, 19 September 2008. AS A MINIMUM, THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS REQUIRED: (a) For SDVOSB, certify that you are a Service Disabled Veteran. For HUBAone or 8(s), provide a copy of the certificate issued by SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone or 8(a) concern; (b) A positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract as a prime contractor; (c) Evidence of three (3) recent experiences in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, and dollar amounts, points of contact with current telephone numbers and percent and description of work performed. All of the above information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested SDVOSB, HUBZone, or 8(a) concerns. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a contractor not being considered as an interested SDVOSB, HUBZone, or 8(a) concern. If adequate interest is not received from SDVOSB, HUBZone, or 8(a) concerns, the solicitation will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside without further notice. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561621 with a small business size standard of $12,500,000. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to visit this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Again, this is not a solicitation or presolicitation.
