- Description
- USACE, Vicksburg District, has a requirement to provide all plant, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to furnish and deliver four new, hydraulic cylinders. Delivery- The cylinders shall be delivered to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Monroe Navigation Project Office, 3505 South Grand St., Monroe, LA 71202-5373. Shop Drawings-The supplier shall provide a complete set of shop drawings with his offer for review. Shop drawings shall show general arraignment and details of the hydraulic cylinder assembly and parts. Drawings shall list the material used for each part and show cylinder pressure ratings. Warranty- Hydraulic cylinders provided under this contract shall have a 12-month warranty, which covers parts and labor for repairs resulting from defects in material or workmanship. Operation and Maintenance Manuals -The supplier shall provide two bound sets of Operation and Maintenance manuals with the hydraulic cylinders. General- The hydraulic cylinders shall have a working pressure of 2000 psi and a safety factor of 3:1 on burst, thread shear and rod buckling. The cylinders will replace existing cylinders on miter gate machinery located at District lock and dams, therefore the critical dimensions of overall length, stroke length, mounting locations, port locations, and rod end shown on the drawings must be maintained. Specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Web Page at http://www.fbo.gov/. Hardcopies will not be available. Offerors should check the FedBizOpps Web Page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on or about 12 September 2008. Offer due date on or about 22 September 2008, 1600 Hours. This procurement is being issued 100% set-aside for small business concerns under NAICS code 333995 for a firm fixed price contract.
