Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Request for Quotations (RFQ) are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is being issued under the simplified acquisition procedures as Brand Name or Equal pursuant to FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal (Aug 1999). It is strongly advised that you review FAR Clause 52.211-6 for information regarding what must be included with your quote if you are submitting an equal to offer. Offerors shall submit technical specifications of the item being proposed. Offerors are required to submit adequate information to demonstrate that the product offered meets or exceeds all requirements of the specifications. If no specifications are submitted the offer may be considered technically unacceptable and not be considered for award. All quotes shall be for new equipment and shall include shipping costs to U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, Yuma, AZ 85365. The resultant contract will be firm fixed price. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26 dated 12 June 2008 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARs), 1998 edition, current to DCN 20080812. It is anticipated that payment will be made by Government Visa Credit Card. The quoted price shall include any processing costs associated with Visa payment. Payment via DFAS Electronic Funds Transfer is also available through the use of the Wide Area WorkFlow Receipt and Acceptance system (http://wawf.eb.mil). This solicitation is issued as a 100% small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 333911 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. All prospective offerors must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration. Offerors may register online at https://www.ccr.dlis.dla.mil/ccr/scripts/index.html All quotes shall be clearly marked with solicitation #W81R8T-8246-0008 and emailed to laura.stjohn@us.army.mil or sent by facsimile to (928) 328-6849 no later than 12:00 PM EST on 19 September 2008. Proposals will be acknowledged as they are received. If you do not receive an acknowledgment, please contact Ms. Laura StJohn at (928) 328-6124 prior to the closing date and time of the solicitation.
