Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has a requirement to procure preventative maintenance from Siemens Building Technologies of Beltsville, MD for monitoring equipment and software in one buildings animal facility and all aquatic facilities on NIH Campus in Bethesda, MD.. The contractor shall perform tasks including but is not limited to1) maintenance of equipment and software that was manufactured and installed by Siemens for the monitoring and functions for all aspects of the aquatic systems.2) maintain the health and environment of the species housed in the aquatic facilities through the monitoring of water quality, pump function, dosing modes, and temperature 3) shall have a monitoring system compatible with DES systems and approved for use.4)providing emergency remote alarm monitoring 24x7. 5) provide alarm notification to staff informing them of any harmful or threatening situation that could compromise the health of the aquatic research animals. To the best of the Governments knowledge Siemens Building Technologies is the only vendor that can provide this requirement. Interested vendors may identify in writing their interest with a capability statement to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This solicitation is not a Small Business Set-Aside. It is anticipated that the NICHD2008022 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is October 1, 2008. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package in writing to the attention of Patricia Haun at National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases 6707 Democracy Blvd., Room 779, Bethesda, Maryland 20817 or via FAX (301) 480-4226. FAX quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative. All requests for quotation must include a valid email address.
