- General Services Administration (GSA) has a need for a contractor to provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies and equipment, and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective performance of all work for the Minneapolis SSA Card Center project at the Social Security Administration, 1811 Chicago Avenue, South, Minneapolis, MN. The project includes, but is not limited to, the renovation of existing offices of the 1st floor of the one story SSA Building in the east area of the building. The work will include essential work within the area identified and modifications to the existing HVAC and electrical systems. The space is approximately 5,180 sq. ft. and will include private and open offices, reception area, and public spaces. Contract completion time for construction is 122 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated range of this project is between 500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. This procurement is open to all business concerns in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System code is 236220 with a size standard of $31 million. This is a negotiated procurement; there will not be a public bid opening. The solicitation will be available on or about November 25, 2008. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS). FedTeDS is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. In order to obtain information from FedTeDS, you will first be required to register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. You may access CCR at the following URL www.bpn.gov. Once you have registered with CCR you will be required to register with FedTeDS. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. You may access FedTeDS via the following URL https://www.FedTeDS.gov. Also, effective January 1, 2005, as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) all vendors are required to use the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) in federal solicitations as a part of the proposal submission process. You may access ORCA via the Internet at http://orca.bpn.gov. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involving the use of ORCA. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the FedTeDS website for amendment(s), if any, to the solicitation. All responsive offers from responsible offerors will be considered. Small business concerns, including HUBZone, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, disadvantaged, and women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be on or about December 26, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. (Chicago Time).
