- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation Notice of Intent for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format of FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are not being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued for the solicitation number NOI8406 issued as a Notice of Intent. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-26. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is a small business concern. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 423450, which has a size standard of 100 employees. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intend to procure an autoMACS Pro Cell Separator on a sole source basis with Miltenyi Biotec. Item/Description/Quantity: 1) autoMACS Pro Starting Kit: autoMACS Pro Separator, 1 MACS MiniSampler with lid – 3 Chill Tube Racks (5mL/15mL/50mL) – 1 autoMACS Pro Buffer Combination pack – 1 box autoMACS Columns (5x2) -2 Column Substitutes – Tube wrench – Screw driver set-Sensor cable f, qty-1; 2) gentleMACS Starting kit – gentleMACS Dissociator, 25 C tubes, 25 M tubes, 1 power cord, User manual, qty-1; 3) MACS Cooling Tube Racks Chill 50, qty-1, 4) autoMACS Pro Angle Connector, set, qty-1; 5) autoMACS Pro Laminar Hood Plate, qty-1; 6) Training Service: includes on-site calibration, instrument use and calibration training, operator qualification and consumable products (excluding ClinMACS and Isolex reagents) for performance validation. This is the only known instrument with a patented MACS Technology designed for positive selection as well as a depletion of magnetically labeled cells. It combines the benefits of proven autoMACS technology with novel features such as the sensor-controlled processing of multiple samples. This will allow the lab to isolate and purify human immune cells directly from patient blood (in vivo) and/or from in vitro culture systems. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1) price, 2) warranty, and technical capability to meet required specifications. Place of delivery NIH/NIAID Bethesda, Maryland 20892. The FOB point shall be Destination. The government will award a firm-fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor.
