- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial supply prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This is a Request For Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number is W911S1-08-T-0067. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26 effective 12 June 2008. FedBizOps Numbered Notes per FAR Part 5.207-13(e) apply: 12 and 13. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 711130, Musical Groups and Artists. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 8661 - Religious Organizations. This requirement is being solicited as a small business set-aside and the size standard is $6.5M. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded. Award will be made to the quotation which offers the best value to the government. The Government also reserves the right to make no award at all. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Incumbent will serve as Director of Gospel Choir for religious programs at the Main Chapel. Their duties will include but not be limited to directing music for all chapel Gospel Services from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, establishing musical programs in the Main Chapel and support the operation for the chapel which facilitates programs for community religious projects and activities. The contractor agrees to provide music the entire 52 weeks of the contract, and will subcontract duties to another suitable accompanist when contractor is not available. Prior arrangements must be made in order to provide the substitutes access to the installation, facility, and rooms. THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Base year: 01 Oct 2008 30 Sep 2009 Option year 1: 01 Oct 2009 30 Sep 2010 Option year 2: 01 Oct 2010 30 Sep 2011 HOURS: SUNDAY GOSPEL SERVICE: 11:30 am to 1:00 pm Sunday REHEARSALS: Choir rehearsal will take place on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. The work performance schedule will be coordinated with the QAR by the Contractor prior to commencement of work under this contract.
