Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to solicit on an other than full and open competition basis a requirement for services to sponsor and participate in the Benjamin Banneker Institute Blacks In Science Program which includes a keynote speaking opportunity at the Benjamin Banneker Gala. Also includes speaking opportunities during the Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Weekend and participation in the African American STEM Advisory Board. The procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with CATALYST for this requirement. The required services are to be procured on a sole source basis to CATALYST, the only known vendor capable of providing the instant requirement to meet the needs of the Chief of Naval Personnel, Diversity Directorat! e (N134) in Washington, DC. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by the specified response date. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider information received by the specified response date. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. The NAICS code is 813319 and the small business size standard is $6.5M.
