Description

The purpose of this amendment is to add a drawing of the existing NIST system and to provide additional information. As a result, this solicitation is amended as follows: 1) Added drawing of NIST system as uploaded herein. 2) In regard to the application of the gauging system, it is NIST's preference that the equipment be installed on the existing paper machine line without major relocation of machine components. However, NIST understands that for safety and operational reasons, there may be alternative installations that require more space between the calender and the reel of the paper machine. If an alternative requires the relocation of the reel, the maximum that the reel can be moved downstream is two (2) meters. Except as amended herein, all other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
