Description
Joint Capabilities Technology Demonstration (JCTD) Workshop The Department of the Navy will provide a half-day workshop concerning the process of submitting a successful JCTD proposal on 29 October 2008 at NUWC, Newport, RI. The workshop will include five training sessions provided by the offices of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research Development and Acquisition (ASN(RDA)), the Warfare Integration Division of the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO N8FS&T), the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL), the US Fleet Forces Command (COMUSFLTFORCOM N82) and the Office of Naval Research (ONR). All those within the Federal and Industry sectors are invited to attend. This training is unclassified and intended for general audiences to assist in the collaborative processes required for a successful JCTD Program. Attendees should gain specific knowledge of the steps, tools and Points of Contact required to submit and conduct a JCTD. The workshop tends to run three to four hours depending upon questions and audience participation. When: 29 October 2008, 1230-1630 Where: Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, 1176 Howell Street, Newport, RI, Building 1346/1, Chafee Auditorium Admin: Arrive with sufficient time for both Base and Building check-in procedures No hand-outs will be provided The workshop materials will be made available electronically through the SPAWAR CTO. IMPORTANT: Visit authorization in advance is required by all attendees. Submit your request for visit authorization by 21 October 2008 directly to the NUWCDIVNPT Security Office (see requirements at http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/Visit/visitreq.htm). In addition, individuals who do not hold a current security clearance will require an escort, and need to register by phone in advance for escort service not later than 21 October 2008 with Daniel Daly, Code 11812, NUWCDIVNPT, Tel (401) 832-1802.
