Description
This procurement is for New Atlanta ServletExec Software License Annual Maintenance. A quantity of four (4) ServletExec V5.0 2 CPU Serve License Maintenance at Naval Facilities Engineering Command Information Technology Center (NITC), Port Hueneme, CA for a base period up to November 15, 2008, and four 12-month option periods not to exceed 60 months. The Maintenance plan shall include parts coverage and preventative maintenance at the customer's convenience. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a subsequent written solicitation will NOT be issued. N62583-08-T-0131 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular! FAC 2005-24. QUOTES MUST BE FROM AUTHORIZED RESELLERS OF NEW ATLANTA SERVLETEXEC ONLY; NAICS Code is 423430 and the small business size standard is 100 employees for authorized resellers. Delivery will be FOB Destination. This will be a firm-fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures, part 13. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(6), this solicitation is for a Brand Name item specification. The need for brand name ServletExec software license maintenance and support is required to maintain the Geographic Information Systems applications at NITC. Any lapse in service would result in loss of application availability or loss of critical NAVFAC data. New Atlanta ServletExec parts and licenses necessary to affect repairs are available only from ServletExec authorized resellers. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Information Technology Center (NITC) provides enterprise information systems necessary to support the command's mission. As the command's technology center, NITC is responsible for delivering the information systems necessary to support naval facilities worldwide. NITC is comprised of approximately 150 employees supporting the NAVFAC customer base of approximately 5000. NITC is required to provide operational support 24x7 to this worldwide customer base. ORGANIZATION: NITC, 1000 23rd Ave., Bldg 2, Port Hueneme, CA 93043 1.1 OBJECTIVE: NITC has a requirement to host, deploy and sustain an array of Enterprise Business Systems that will be utilized throughout various Navy Organizations to include all NAVFAC sites, all Navy Regions, the Marine Corps, and select private business partners. This procurement is in support of NITC's mission to meet this requirement. 2.0 REQUIREMENT/Description of the work: New Atlanta Servlet Exec Annual Maintenance.
