- This procurement is for EMC License Annual Maintenance. EMC hardware and software Licenses Maintenance at Naval Facilities Engineering Command Information Technology Center (NITC), Port Hueneme, CA is required for a base period and four 12-month option periods not to exceed 60 months. The Maintenance plan shall include parts coverage and preventative maintenance at the customer's convenience. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a subsequent written solicitation will NOT be issued. N62583-08-T-0128 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-24. QUOTES MUST BE FROM AUTHORIZED RESELLERS OF EMC CORPO! RATION ONLY; NAICS Code is 423430 and the small business size standard is 100 employees for authorized resellers. Delivery will be FOB Destination. This will be a firm-fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures, part 13.. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(6), this solicitation is for a Brand Name item specification. The need for brand name EMC maintenance and support is required to maintain and troubleshoot EMC hardware/software failures. All NAVFAC Enterprise hosted application data resides on this hardware. Any lapse in service would result in loss of application availability or loss of critical NAVFAC data. EMC licenses are available only from EMC authorized resellers.
