- Description
- The Office of International Affairs and Trade Relations (INATR), US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is acquiring lodging accommodations and conference related services in accordance with the specifications, terms, and conditions below, for the purpose of conducting International Seaport Interdiction Training (ISIT) with Mexico during the period of September 6 - 13,2008. The party of participants is comprised of CBP employees, contractors, and/or representatives from foreign governments, all working on official US Government business. CBP requires a high quality "full service" hotel (i.e., with daily room cleaning services), with a 3 star/diamond rating (or higher) from Orbitz, Travelocity, and/or AAA, equipped and providing services/amenities as detailed in the solicitation (uploaded and available at this website). 23 lodging rooms 9/6 – 9/13/2008 (arrival/departure), and a conference room for 30, classroom style, 9/7 – 9/12/2008, with Cont. Breakfast and PM Cookie Break 9/8 – 9/12/2008, are requierd. The Contractor's facility is to be located within a 30-minute drive (@ 8:00am - 9:00am and 4:00pm - 5:00pm, Mon - Friday) of the Charleston Seaport in South Carolina, subject to verification using distance/travel data from Google Maps, Mapquest, or similar online utilities as a basis. Hotel must be located in a safe and quiet environment, defined as a location where guests can walk outside in the area of the facility without crossing any major highways, and able to do so with a reasonable sense of personal security. Hotel must be within a 15-minute taxi ride to major shopping venues (i.e. mall, etc.) and within 2 blocks of public transportation into downtown Charleston, SC. Hotel must be within walking distance to coffee shops and grocery stores. The responsible (See FAR 9.104) Offeror/Quoter offering the lowest evaluated total price (item 31 in the BID SCHEDULE) that is determined to be fair and reasonable and whose quotation otherwise meets or exceeds the minimum requirements will be considered for award. Quotations offering lodging room rates, cancellation charges, and/or prices for other items that are deemed to be unreasonable, may not be considered. All responsible parties are offered an opportunity to submit a quotation.
