Description

This is a notice of intent to issue an order to HK Systems, 515 East 100 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for the annual renewal of ASRS Hardware Support preventive maintenance services and support for three (3) HK Systems’ HK750 Mini-load storage/retrieval machines (SRMs) located at the Defense Media Center, 23755 Z Street, Riverside, CA. The Automated Search and Retrieval System (ASRS) is a self-contained storage area configured to handle any size or shape of VI media that is environmentally controlled, computer and robotics-operated which was installed as part of the original building construction in 1993/1994. The physical storage was developed and installed by Harnischfeger (HK Systems). This announcement constitutes the only notice, a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by the closing date specified in this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
