Description
The Bureau of land Management, Alaska Fire Service, Ft Wainwright Alaska has a requirement to purchase 1 each 12,500 gallon retardant tank. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) LAQ082023.The NAICS code is 332420 and the small business size for this procurement is 500 employees. The 12,500 gallon steel retardant tank must meet the following requirement at a minimum: skid mounted, constructed from minimum ? inch A 36 steel plate, all welds will be 100 per cent both inside and outside, two top mounted 24 inch manway entry ports, top lifting eyes adequately sized for moving tank, two 4 inch schedule 80 relief vents mounted on top of tank with ? inch wire mesh screen covering opening, two end mounted 24 inch manway entry ports w/32 - 7/16 inch bolts, 1/8 inch thick neoprene gasket, rear of tank will have one treaded 4 inch recirculation/aeration line with 5/8 inch holes drilled at approximately 135 degrees from one another and staggered every 6 inches on bottom line with capped end that is no more than 12 inches from end of tank, and one 4 inch inlet line used to transfer between tanks, front of tank will have one threaded 4 inch outlet line located at bottom of tank, access ladder mounted on front of tank, saddles designed to support tank, interior of tank shall be entirely seal welded, all sharp edges shall be ground to a minimum 1/8 inch radius and interior coating shall be Tnemec Series 66 Hi-Build Epoxline Polyamide epoxy coating, exterior of tank shall be painted with red oxide primer and two coats of enamel commercial grade paint (color to be determined) must meet UL 142 Tank Standards, FOB Fort Wainwright, Alaska.Offerors shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1(June 2008), Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, which is incorporate by reference. 52.225-01 Buy American Act - Supplies (June 2003) (41U.S.C. 10a-10d).FAR 52.212-4 (Feb 1007), Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items is applicable.
