Description

The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is seeking applications (Optional Form 612 only) from qualified U.S. citizens to provide personal services under a personal services contract, as described in the solicitation. This position serves as a Program Operations Specialist in USAID’s Office of Food for peace (FFP), which provides over $1.8 billion in food aid grants each year to private voluntary organizations (PVOs) and the UN World Food Program (WFP) both to address short-term emergency needs and longer-term chronic problems. The work requires a high degree of independence, initiative, and judgment. The incumbent will have responsibility primarily for program cost estimates and supply chain management of emergency food aid, working closely with PVOs and WFP, FFP staff, other USAID offices and bureaus, and the Department of Agriculture.
