Description
DESC: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Office of Acquisitions, 6432 General Green Way, Alexandria, VA 22312 intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The award will be a total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 423830. The size standard is 100 employees. The product specifications and delivery requirements are as follows: 98 each, emergency evacuation chairs delivered to 11 different locations throughout the U.S. The chairs shall have the following capability: one-person operator, able to carry an individual 300 pounds in weight, down a series of steps in a high rise building. This individual may also be required to carry baggage up to 25 pounds; for a total carrying capacity of between 325 and 350 pounds. Proposals that require more than one-operator to control, with a weight capacity of less than 325 pounds or greater 350 pounds will not be considered.
