Description
This requirement is for the total system upgrade of the present AUTOMATED STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL SYSTEM (AS/RS) located at the U.S. Army Publishing Agency, St. Louis, MO. The AS/RS upgrade shall replace the old PDP based system controls with a Windows based control system, replace the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) system with an End-Of-Aisle (EOA) picking solution, and move the inventory responsibility to the Standard Warehouse Operation System (SWOS). Requirement includes furnishing and installation of equipment, training, and one year warranty. This requirement is issued unrestricted. NAICS code is 333922 Size Standard is 500 employees. If offerors are a large business and their offer exceeds $500,000, offers must include a small business subcontracting plan. The following goals are informational only and not legally binding. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District is committed to the participation of Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Women Owned Small Business, HUB Zone Small Business, and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses in the performance of work for this contract and has established the following goals expressed in terms of percentages of total planned subcontracting dollars: Small Business 51.2%; Small Disadvantaged Business 8.8%; Women Owned Small Business 7.3%; HUB Zone Small Business 3.1%; and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business 1.5%. This requirement is a commercial item and will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12. Solicitations will be available on line through the St. Louis Corps of Engineers website at http://www.mvs.usace.army.mil/ on or about 20 August 2008 with proposals due on or about 17 September 2008 at 4:30 PM.
