Description
Synopsis:It is the intent of this agency, the National Park Service (NPS), to award a sole source contract under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This agency intends to award to E.T. Techtonics, 213 Monroe St., Philadelphia, PA 19147.Pecos National Historical Park has a requirement for three (3) complete Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) trail bridge material kits / packages to be delivered to the park. Two (2) FRP Bridges, 30'-0" x 7'-0"One (1) FRP Bridge, 20'-0" x 7'-0" The pre-manufactured bridge components and kits must be commercially available products and meet the following general requirements. Generic specifications can be provided upon request (Please contact Kelvin Smalls at (505) 988-6083 to request a copy). General Requirements: - All individual components must be lightweight (No component should exceed approximately 75 lbs.)- All individual components must be person portable and easily transported and assembled in rough terrain.- All components must be easily assembled using common hand tools.- Design Live Load = 85 PSF.- Light Vehicle = 3000 LBS.- Fiberglass support trusses.- Handrail height - 42 inches.- Standard olive green color.- 3 safety mid-rails providing 9" maximum opening.- A307 galvanized steel bolts.- Mounting clips.- 3"x12" #2, Pressure Treated Southern Yellow Pine Decking.- Ship individually "kitted" and unassembled to Pecos National Historical Park, NM.- Delivery shall be made within 60 days of receipt of order. Exhaustive market research has been conducted in support of the acquisition of these bridges, and the above mentioned company was the only source found to be able to supply a commercially available product that meets our requirements as stated. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
