Description
The Seattle District Corps of Engineers has a competitive requirement to design and construct a Vehicle Maintenance Facility (VMF), administrative building and associated site work for the Navy Cargo Handling Battalion 5 located at Fort Lewis, Washington. This project type is intended to be similar both functionally and technically to similar VMF and administrative facilities in the private sector community surrounding the Installation. Level 1 maintenance operations are anticipated for Battalion vehicles and equipment which include fluid changes, parts service and general tune-ups. The maximum gross area for the VMF is 5,691 square feet, and the maximum gross area for the administrative building is 8,905 square feet.. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $4,000,000 to $8,000,000 and the completion period is estimated at 540 calendar days. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5M. This requirement will be a Best Value procurement conducted in accordance with procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposals (RFP), and a firm-fixed-price contract will be negotiated as a result of this procurement. This project is open to small businesses only.
