Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Bids will be accepted on an all or none basis. The solicitation number is F3Z4538177AQ01; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26 and Defense DCN 20080721 and AFAC 2008-0605. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219. The business size standard is $6.5M. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is J065. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7699. Travis AFB intends on awarding this requirement as a sole source to Simbionix USA for the following items: 0001: Platinum Service Agreement for Lap Mentor II Virtual Trainer: Is for service agreement and warranty for the simulation center simbionix lap mentor II virtual trainer. The platinum service contract extends coverage in 12-month increments beyond the initial warranty period and provides discounts on new release or additional software modules. The platinum service contract includes: repair services phone repair support provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, parts replacement for installations determined not to require on-site Simbionix tehnical support, all repairs or service determined to require on-site technical support, preventative maintenance, evaluation, or additional training. Technical Support Line (24 hours a day x 7 days a week), free software version updates as detailed above tand 30% discount off list prices for any new or add-on module/s purchased during the service contract period. Request a 5 year contract, one base year with four options from 15 August 2008 to 14 August 2013 Any shipping cost must be inclusive in your quote. *Simbionix requires that no on other than the end user and Simbionix technicians be allowed to repair/change/make additions of any kind to the system. Simbionix is the only company that services Simbionix simulators or offers replacement parts for use with Simbionix simulators. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition.
