Description
Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (Guard Tower) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). RFQ# M67399-08-Q-0061. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-18. This is an unrestricted Purchase. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 713990. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this order is 3089. The small business size standard is 6.5 Million. The Federal Supply Classification (FSC) for this order is 5410. This solicitation is for the purchase of relocatable guard towers for the purpose of providing authenticity in training areas. The Required Delivery Date is 30 days ARO. The guard tower will fit the following description; a standard conex box, a covered observation enclosure, one pallet of 18 Helix coil wire (approx 3750 ft), one wire installation kit. The observation enclosure should be made of a durable material and be able to be assembled and unassembled easily. The observation enclosure shall attach easily to the Conex box and should be able to withstand high and gusty winds. The observation enclosure will have a solid cover that attaches to the top of the enclosure. The enclosure walls should be approximately 4 feet in height. The approximate size of the observation enclosure should be 8w x 7-8h x 6 long. There should be a minimum distance from the top of the wall to the cover of approximately 36. All observation enclosure components must be able to be unassembled and fit with-in the conex box with all other equipment for the guard tower. The wire installation kit will consist of a fence driver, 25 ea 5-foot stakes, 25 ea 7-foot stakes. The conex box should be olive drab in color and the observation enclosure should be desert tan in color. The observation enclosure cover must be sturdy enough and durable enough to hang lights or to attach antennas. A ladder for accessing the observation enclosure shall be included. All material shall fit within the conex box. The conex box should be a new box as apposed to a used one. CLIN 0001 Qty 8 EA : Guard Tower, Portable/recoverable. The recipient of this award is required to be registered with, understand and invoice through Wide Area Workflow.
