The requirement is for a minimum of 600 spaces to a maximum of 800 spaces for every day of the week, with access onto the property at anytime. The bulk of traffic and use will be from 6:00 am 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. A parking garage/deck is preferred, but all options that can meet the requirements will be considered. The lease term shall be for a firm term of five (5) years, with five (5) one-year options. The parking spaces offered need to be in a safe, secure location that can provide controlled access onto the site. Ease of access to traffic thoroughfares and proximity to the VA will be considered for all locations submitted within the delineated area. The proposed location needs to be properly zoned to allow for commuter/commercial parking. The VAMC will arrange for a commuter bus to shuttle to and from the commuter locations and the hospital. Location: The space must be located within a 3-mile radius of the following address: Birmingham VA Medical Center 700 S. 19th Street Birmingham, AL 35233 Offerors must provide evidence that properties are outside the 100-year flood plain. Lease Term: Five years (5) firm with a five-year option. Availability: Available for occupancy in December 2008 or earlier. Expressions Of Interest Should Include: 1. Site plan of the parking location and its address. 2. Total number of surface parking spaces being offered. 3. Annual rate per space. Note: The government will pay no more than the appraised fair market rental value for parking spaces.
