- Description
- Construction project. Work is to construct one (1) spillway deflector and one (1) pier extension in Spillway Bay 1, fabricate and install a new trash boom anchor in the forebay. The spillway deflector will be constructed from reinforced concrete and will be anchored into the existing spillway. The deflector will be 50 feet wide x 20 long. A 30 foot radius will be used to transition from the existing spillway surface to the top of the new deflector. The pier extensions will be constructed of reinforced concrete and will be anchored into the existing pier. The pier extensions will be 22 and 1/2 feet high x 9 and 1/2 feet deep and 14 feet wide. All of this work will involve dewatering of Spillway Bay 1. The new trashboom anchor will be constructed of structural steel and will be 51 feet long x 12 feet wide and 23 feet high, it will be anchored to the non overflow face of the dam in the forebay beside Spillway 1. After the new trashboom anchor is installed the trash boom will be removed from the old anchor and installed onto the new anchor. The old anchor will be removed from the face of the dam. The work in the forebay may require diving. If time permits during the winter work window, a second spillway deflector and pier extension shall be constructed in Spillway Bay 8 (option). Site of the work is Garfield County and Whitman County, Washington State. Solicitation No. W912EF-08-B-0008 will be posted to the FBO website on or about August 01, 2008. Bids will be opened no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date. The bid opening date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued. A site visit will be offered. See solicitation for details about the site visit and how to register to attend the site visit. Solicitation is open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS Code 237990. Small business size standard is $31,000,000 in average annual receipts. Estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
