Description
This is a modification to the synopsis entitled GeoDome Theater Equipment for NASAGSFC Visitor Center, Solicitation # NNG08258403Q. which was posted on July 14, 2008. The change is the addition of thefollowing requirements: To procure the Uniview Software and three-year maintenancecontract which includes 24-hour turnaround and 3 member accounts and one-on-one sessions.Requirements:1. The software must have the capability to leverage and extend existing 3D technologiesinto a visualization platform providing a global context to geospatial datasets.2. The software shall support interactive streaming of satellite and GIS data.3. The software shall support vector-based overlays, the most common data formatavailable in the GIS world.4. The software must conform to geospatial standards (Web Map Services, KML, KMZ) used byGoogle Earth, NASA Worldwind, and other applications.5. The Software shall have the capability to be networked and controlled from remotelocations around the United States and the world.6. Networking shall be able to be achieved through standard TCP/IP Internet connections.7. The Software shall allow scientist and educators, using flat screens, portable domesand large planetarian, to remotely guide audiences through the Digital Universe Atlas.8. Multiple NASA sites can be linked together to provide the same experience foraudiences simultaneously, potentially led by NAS Scientists and engineers during bothspecial and regularly scheduled events.9. The software shall be enabled with OmniMap API for simple single-channel domeprojection.The due date for responses is extended until July 30, 1008.Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. Thesedocuments will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWWbrowser application.
