Description

GSA seeks the services of an artist to create a work of art to engage and enhance the site of the US Custome House in downtown Denver for the occupants and the general public. The location of the artwork shall be on the 20 th Street side of the building on the wall that encloses the Child Care Center. The artwork may reflect the historical and cultural aspects of Colorado and the region, as well as the federal identity and function of the US Custom House. Possible media may be i.e: paint, spray paint. All materials will be evaluated in terms of stability, duration, toxicity, and environmental soundness. Past materials used by the offeror should not have undergone undue deterioration or the need for early conservation. GSA will consider both individual artists and artists collaborating as a team. Work is anticipated to be commissioned in 2008 with installation to follow in 2008/2009. GSA will select the artist(s) for the commission considered to be most advantageous to the Government price (value) and other technical evaluation factors specified below. Such artists will be selected on the basis of their ability, as evidenced by their past work and performance, to meet the artwork objectives specified above and the evaluation factors.
